Reserving A 2026 Keeper Stay - How It Works

The Detour Reef Light Preservation Society (DRLPS) is changing how we handle Keeper Program reservations beginning in 2026.

To purchase a stay, go to the Store portion of this website on January 1, 2026 or later.

Next, click the Keeper Stay category that covers the time period you're interested in participated in our Keeper Stay program. There is two categories for each month - one for weekend (two-night stays - Friday and Saturday) and one for week (five-night stays - Sunday through Thursday night).

DRLPS rents two separate rooms for each period of time. The smaller Keeper room that sleeps up to two and the larger Assistant's room that sleeps up to 4.

If you'd like an exclusive stay for your party - be sure to buy both rooms for the time period you're looking at. If you purchase both rooms for your stay, you'll receive a 10% discount at checkout.

Once you've added the room or rooms to your cart, simply go to check out to process your payment. Be sure to read the terms and conditions displayed in the store window before checking out.

You'll be required to read and click acceptance of the terms and conditions.

Before you buy a stay - understand this is not a traditional B&B - you'll be brining your own food, you'll have to do some light duty that a light keeper would have to complete.
