Are you having trouble with the site? Please review the list of frequently asked questions (FAQ) to see if your issue is addressed. If you have a question that isn't answered below, please email webmaster@drlps.com.
Q: What screen resolution should I be using? I have to scroll side to side, in addition to up and down, to see the pages.
A: The site is optimized for a screen resolution of 1024x768. If you use a lower resolution (i.e. 640x480 or 800x600), you will have horizontal scrollbars in addition to vertical scrollbars.
Q: Can I use a higher resolution? Do you support 1280x1024 (or higher)?
A: Yes. If you use a resolution of 1024x768 or higher, you should be fine.
Q: Which web browsers and operating systems does this site support?
A: The following Windows platforms are supported with Internet Explorer 6/7 or Firefox 1.5: Windows 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista and Server 2008. Macintosh users should be using Mac OS X with Firefox 1.5 or Safari 2.0. UNIX and Linux users should use Mozilla 1.7 or Firefox 1.5.
Q: What are PDF files? I get prompted to save them, but I can't seem to open them.
A: You need to download and install the Adobe Reader. This tool is provided free of charge by Adobe and supports all of the above listed operating systems. Download the Adobe Reader at www.adobe.com.
Q: I click on some links, but nothing seems to happen. Sometimes I hear a "pop" sound when I click them. What is wrong?
A: You have a pop-up blocker running on your system. Many browsers such as Internet Explorer have pop-up blockers built into them. In addition, if you run an add-on toolbar such as Google or Yahoo, these also provide pop-up blockers, so if you disable your browser's pop-up blocker, your toolbar may still block it. You should add www.drlps.com to your pop-up blocker's trusted sites list. Wherever you see the icon next to a link, the link is opened in a new window.
Q: Does your online store encrypt transactions? Do you use SSL?
A: Our online store is not yet running. However, when it's online we will be using 128-bit SSL certificates so all of your transactions will be secured. In fact, we are developing the store so that you will not be allowed to submit any personal information unless SSL is used.
Q: I don't see any email addresses on the Contact Us page, or I see what appears to be code.
A: This site uses email address obfuscation, a process that uses JavaScript to make email addresses usable to huamn visitors like you but hides them from automated harvesters. This is done to protect DRLPS email addresses from spam bots. You will need to enable JavaScript in your browser to see the addresses. |
